Affiliate Disclosure

Effective 2026-05-26

Habibi Guide is an affiliate publisher. This page explains what that means in practice and how we keep it from compromising what we publish.

What an affiliate link is

When you click a link on Habibi Guide to book a venue or event, you may be sent to a partner platform — typically Platinumlist, Fever, GetYourGuide, Headout, or Tiqets. These platforms track that you arrived from Habibi Guide and pay us a small commission if you complete a booking. The price you pay is identical to what you would pay if you went to the partner platform directly.

The networks we participate in

  • Platinumlist — UAE event ticketing. Used primarily for event-specific bookings (concerts, club nights, brunches with ticketed entry).
  • Fever (via Impact.com) — experiences, immersive events, candlelight concerts, themed dining.
  • GetYourGuide (via Partnerize) — attractions, tours, day trips.
  • Headout — attractions and city experiences.
  • Tiqets — museum and attraction tickets.

We do not maintain affiliate relationships with venues directly — we link to the regulated ticketing platforms above, which handle DTCM event-permit compliance and customer protection.

How we mark affiliate links

Affiliate links on Habibi Guide carry a rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute, which is the standard signal to search engines that they are commercial. The first affiliate link on any page is accompanied by an inline disclosure label. Sponsored placements (paid editorial slots, sponsored newsletter sections) are clearly marked as Sponsored with distinct styling.

How affiliate revenue affects editorial

It does not. We make two specific choices to keep this true:

  • We don't accept payment for favourable coverage. A venue cannot pay to be listed on Habibi Guide, to be listed higher, or to be written about more positively. Sponsored sections are separate and labelled.
  • Affiliate availability does not determine coverage. We cover venues that are worth covering on their own terms, including venues for which no affiliate booking path exists. When we link to a partner platform, it's because that platform is where the venue's bookings are actually handled.

How we earn beyond affiliate links

  • Sponsored newsletter slots. Our weekly newsletter may include a sponsored section, clearly labelled as such, paid for by a partner. The rest of the newsletter remains editorial.
  • Concierge referrals. For VIP table and group-booking requests, we may refer the booking to a partner agency. If the booking closes, we may receive a referral fee. These referrals are disclosed at the point of the referral.

What we are not

Habibi Guide is not a travel agency, a ticket reseller, or a booking platform. We do not collect payments. We do not hold reservations. We do not have a tourism license under UAE regulations because we are an editorial publisher with affiliate links — bookings happen on the licensed partner platforms.
