Brunch in Dubai most often happens on a Saturday, runs for two to four hours, and needs booking several days ahead. That surprises visitors who expect eggs and coffee. It is a multi-course sitting, usually with music and often with a view, and for a first trip it is the easiest way into the city’s dining scene. What “brunch” actually means in Dubai
In Dubai, brunch is an event. Most venues serve either a set multi-course menu or a spread, over a fixed two-to-four-hour window. Some are calm and family-friendly; others are design-led rooms with a resident DJ and a dress-to-impress crowd. The common thread is a long table of food and a sense of occasion: people book brunch for birthdays, reunions and “we’re on holiday” treats.
The setting matters as much as the food. That’s why so many of the best-known brunches are at rooftops with skyline views, at beach clubs on the sand, or in restaurants inside the landmark hotels.
Which day: the weekend you need to know about
The UAE weekend is Saturday and Sunday, and has been since January 2022, when the country moved from its old Friday and Saturday weekend. “Friday brunch” is a holdover from those days. Today the big weekend brunch is most often held on Saturday, though many venues run Friday and Sunday sittings too.
A second timing note: during Ramadan, hours, menus and the style of service change across the city, and some venues pause their regular brunch entirely. If your trip overlaps the holy month, check each venue’s schedule directly.

What to wear
Dress code is taken seriously here, and it varies sharply by venue. Beach and pool clubs expect beachwear or swimwear by day; rooftops and restaurants expect smart, elegant evening dress and will turn away anything too casual. Brunch pricing in Dubai moves constantly. It shifts with the season, the day, special events and what the menu includes. For that reason we don’t publish specific figures: any number we printed would be out of date within weeks. As orientation, expect a premium spend at the flagship rooftops and beach clubs, with more moderate options elsewhere. Always verify the current price directly with the venue when you book.
Booking ahead
The good tables (terraces, view seats, anything by the water) go first, and weekends book out. Reserve in advance, several days ahead for peak weekends and public holidays, and tell the venue if you’re celebrating; many will note it.
